La banda neoyorkina brindo un excelente show el pasado viernes, ante un Roxy con entradas agotadas. Living Colour saco a relucir una catarata de hits, mas algunas sorpresas y cerro una noche especial a puro Funk rock.
La noche arranco a las 21.20 cuando los Living abrieron con el clásico de los Clash, Should I Stay or Should I Go, luego también hubo lugar para hits de la banda como Glamour Boys, Love Rears It's Ugly Head, Time’s Up y Go Away. La noche tuvo su pico de nivel cuando sonó Cult Of Personality.
También hubo espacio para que cada músico demuestre un poco de lo suyo, Vernon Reid se lucio con un solo de guitarra mezclando melodías Funk, velocidad y algo también de esos sonidos que logra crear mediante la computadora que siempre lo acompaña. 11 minutos ininterrumpidos fueron los que toco Will Calhoun la batería. Y finalmente Doug Wimbish no se quedo atrás y desplegó toda su experiencia en un solo de bajo sin desperdicio.
Luego de dos horas de show el cuarteto se retiro del escenario, pero ante el pedido enardecido de su publico volvió e interpreto Elvis is dead y termino cerrando la noche con el tema con el cual habían arrancado: Should I Stay or Should I Go.
Una vez mas demostraron ser la banda que mejor logra la fusion de la musica negra, como el soul y el funk, y el rock.
